Grading Policies
60% Projects and Tests
30% Classwork
10% Homework
I will grade things using a points system. For example if a test has 40 questions, it may be worth 80 points. So the grade might look like this: 75/80 which means the student got 75 out of 80 points possible. The system will automatically convert that to a % grade.

Tests, Retests, Test Corrections
--I will do my best to announce questions ahead of time. I will also try to send out messages on Remind that afternoon.
--If you fail a test the procedure to bring that grade up is: 1- get original test signed by a parent, 2- attach corrections or other assignment given by me to the signed original test , 3– turn in on the due date.
Your grade will be raised to passing or you will be given ½ the points back- depends on the test and the corrections that need to be made.
This will not be offered on every test and the procedures must be followed and turned in by date due in order to help the grade.

Homework
You can expect homework 1-2 times a week. I will do my best to send reminders on Remind after school to remind you. You should always write the homework down in an agenda/calendar
--Late homework will not always be accepted. It will depend on the purpose of homework.
--If absent you have the standard 5 days.
--Always take the hw out and leave it on your desk as soon as you come in.

Late Work
You need to make every effort to complete and turn in assignments on time. This is a real world skill that you will need to be successful.
If you fail to turn in projects or other work on time, 10% will be deducted for each day late.
When you are absent- you will have two days from the date the assignment is entered into PowerSchool to make it up. When I enter grades, if your assignment is missing, you will receive a 0 until it is turned in.
